Putting our commitment to safety into action
April 2021
We take safety extremely seriously at the Club and our training was put to the test early one morning in March at one of our Club sites. Thankfully, Site Manager Mr. Jesus had his eyes open, scanning the area for potential issues as he walked on campus, just as he does every morning. His commitment to safety prevented an incident that could have been devastating. As a special thank you, Boys & Girls Clubs of America President and CEO Jim Clark personally thanked Mr. Jesus and recognized his actions with a resolution of honor and appreciation. We are all very proud of Mr. Jesus and thankful for his dedication to Club youth.

Drive-thru Fun at our Spring Extravaganza
April 2021
We had a blast with our Sheriff friends for our Spring Extravaganza drive-thru event at our Teichert Branch. Kids played games, won prizes, got new books and stuffed animals, and enjoyed yummy treats. Thank you Sheriff's Activities League, Be Bothered Sacramento, and Kohl's for making such fun festivities for Club kids and families! It was the best way to welcome Spring!

Club Connect in Stockton
March 2021
"Everything with COVID has been scary, but I love the Club coming to my house every week and bringing me fun things to do! I really like cooking, reading, and learning new things. I love getting the Club Connect kits each week because the activities are really educational and it’s something fun I can do because I have to stay in the house. Thank you Boys & Girls Club for everything you’re doing because you’re really kind and awesome." - Savannah, Boys & Girls Club at Sierra Vista, Stockton

Partners in Health & Safety
February 2021
When community partners come together, we can move mountains for the youth who need us most. In this case, the mountain is made out of boxes of hand sanitizer! With the help of our longtime partner, Ross Stores, we have thousands of bottles of hand sanitizer to pass out to Club kids, families, fellow Boys & Girls Clubs, and peer organizations across Sacramento to help keep everyone safe and healthy. Thank you Ross!

Holiday Magic Makers
December 2020
Even though 2020 seemed to have relentless challenges, that didn't stop us from making sure Club kids and their families had a fun Holiday Season. We are incredibly grateful for all of our friends and partners who donated gifts, toys, crafts, and treats for our Drive-Thru Holiday Party. There were so many smiles, lots of excitement, and countless heartfelt thank yous! And a special thank you goes out to all the generous firms who participated once again in We Care 2020. You stretched your creativity to the max by not only providing amazing crafts in beautifully wrapping packages to distribute to our Club members.
